Ingredients Quantity
Paneer 250 gms
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Green cardamom 2 no
Cloves 2 no
Bay leaf 1 no
Cinnamon stick 1 inch
Coriander leaves chopped 1 Cup ¼ cup
Spinach 1 bunch 6-8 no
Tamarind paste 1 tbsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Water as required
Tomato sliced 1 no 1 no
Curry leaves 3-4 no
Onion sliced 2 no
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp ½ tsp for sprinkle
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Kasoori methi ½ tsp
Ginger julienne ½ inch for garnish
Green chilli slit 3 no
Method:
1. Heat oil in kadai. Add cumin seeds, green cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and sauté for 1 min.
2. Take grinder jar. Add coriander leaves, spinach, tamarind paste, black pepper, water and tomato slice and grind well. Keep it aside.
3. Add curry leaves, onion slice in kadai and mix well.
4. Add salt and sauté for 3-4 min on medium flame.
5. Add tomato slice and sauté for 3 min.
6. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 3-4 min.
7. Add Coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, kasoori methi, ginger julienne and green chilli slit, mix well and sauté for 2 min.
8. Add prepared paste and mix well.
9. Cover and cook for 8-10 min.
10. Meanwhile chopped the coriander leaves, spinach leaves and keep it aside.
11. Cut the paneer into cube and keep it aside.
12. After 8-10 min. remove the cover, add chopped spinach leaves and coriander leaves. Sauté for 3-4 min.
13. Add roasted cumin powder, paneer cubes and mix well.
14. Remove in serving bowl, garnish with ginger julienne, sprinkle roasted cumin powder on top and serve hot.
