Pro-coup demonstrators take to streets in Niger capital FRANCE 24 English
Supporters of a coup in Niger took to the streets of the capital Niamey Thursday, with some waving Russian flags and chanting anti-French slogans, echoing a growing wave of resentment towards former colonial power France. It comes after the army command declared its backing for the takeover carried out by soldiers of the presidential guard.
