Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro gathers hundreds of thousands of supporters amid an investigation that could see him thrown in jail. Bolsonaro and his inner circle are being investigated for an alleged coup attempt. The former president was accused of attempting to overturn the 2022 election result, allegedly pressuring military chiefs to join a coup and jail a Supreme Court Judge. Bolsonaro spoke to his supporters about the investigation and denied the accusations during the rally. “A coup is putting tanks on the streets, weapons, conspiracy. That did not happen in Brazil. What I want is pacification. To erase the past and find a way for us to live in peace,” he said.
