“This marks one of my most personal endeavours yet,” says Paul Vasileff, Creative Director and Designer, who was inspired by his nonna and namesake of the collection. “A collection dear to my heart, dedicated to Nonna Domenica.” Allora Domenica… captures the undone romance of old-world Italy, where Vasileff’s nonna grew up, and the heart of the woman it forged in the process: a young girl reading her summers in secret; a woman gathering water for neighbouring birds; a seamstress creating; a lover of history and artistry alike. This was a time where dreams were so often left unbloomed, beauty came in far simpler forms, and kindness and service prevailed—a hallmark of the legacy she then bestowed upon her family. “Domenica dreamed of being a teacher, and in the end, she was my very first.”
