Hi, this is Jia. I would like to share my favorite Korean recipes with you. I’ve been running Korean cooking class and food tour company in Seoul, Korea for the last 10 years. I wanted to share my secret recipes which are both easy to make and delicious. I hope you enjoy my video! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gyeran jjim / Microwave Steamed Eggs Ingredients Eggs (cracked, total 200ml) 4 Dried kelp (kombu) 20g Water (half amount as beaten eggs) 100ml~200ml (**Adding more water makes the steamed egg softer but a bit runny. ex) 100ml=stiff gyeran jjim, 200ml= runny gyeran jjim) Mirim (or soju or dry white wine) 1 Tbsp Fish sauce 1/2 Tsp Salt 1/4 Tsp Korean chive(or green onion), finely chopped 1/2 Stalk Carrot, finely chopped 20g Instructions 1. Soak the dried kelp in a bowl with 200ml of hot water for 15 to 30 minutes 2. Beat the eggs and strain to remove any stringy bits 3. Discard the dried kelp from water and add beaten eggs. Add salt, carrot and Korean chive. Mix the well - Make sure the amount of stock needs to be same amount as beaten eggs 4. Pour the egg mixture into microwave safe bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Make a few small hole in the plastic wrap - Don’t fill up the bowl more than 80% of the bowl 5. Place the bowl into the microwave and cook the egg mixture for 5 minutes - This may vary depending on your microwave. It may take plus minus 2 minutes. Cook until the eggs are fully cooked 6.
