RAF applicants described as ‘useless white males’

Sky News has seen leaked emails to RAF recruiters, describing white men seeking to join the air force as “useless white males“. The emails, which expose the pressure to boost diversity in the RAF, reveal that a number of selection boards to find new recruits were cancelled, if they did not include women, or people from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Defence sources say the revelations appear to contradict assurances from the outgoing head of the air force, who has insisted that efforts to improve diversity did not discriminate against white men.
