Tarkovsky Requiem

Shot in Tuscany at the St Catherine Of Sienna thermal baths and the abbey of San Galgano, locations featured in Andrei Tarkovsky’s film Nostalghia (1983). Concludes with footage shot at Tarkovsky’s grave in the Russian cemetery at St Geneveive Des Bois, south of Paris. Field recordings made at the grave of Alexander Litvinenko in Highgate cemetery, London, and the bells of L’Eglise Saint Jacques, Dieppe. Church organ recorded at St Mary’s Church, Brighton.
