GAME RECAP: Penguins at Maple Leafs () | Rakell Scored 200th Career Goal

Monday night, the Pittsburgh Penguins traveled north of the border to face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Starting the 1st period, both teams looked strong. Fast-paced hockey led to a momentum swing in favor of the Penguins. Evgeni Malkin collected the puck and Toronto swarmed him. Malkin dished the puck to Ricard Rakell in the slot. Collecting the pass with his feet as he drifted towards the dot, Rakell did a 360 and launched a rocket on the net to score his 200th career goal. Penguins held a 1-0 lead until mid-way through the 2nd period. Matthew Knies tied the game tipping a shot in the net. Auston Matthews broke the tie in the 3rd with a huge slap shot from the point three seconds into the Penguin’s penalty kill.
