In a video for Global Citizen Live, The director of the United Nations Population Fund Dr. Natalia Kanem highlights the importance of access to reproductive health care and family planning to gender equality worldwide. In Paris, United Nations Population Fund’s Alanna Armitage and Goodwill Ambassador Natalia Vodianova take to the stage to announce on behalf of the Gates Foundation, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and another private foundation, the creation of a challenge fund which will start with $50 million, and will encourage other donors to also donate, to go to the UNFPA which will help provide reproductive health care.
