Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysm Type I: Intercostal Reimplantation by “Snake“ Technique

Open repairing of a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAS) is a surgical challenge with a significant risk of mortality and paraplegia. A video of the technique “Snake“ (ST) for intercostal reimplantation as a spinal cord protection strategy is shown. After 18 months of follow-up, the patient remains asymptomatic and with CT control that shows patency of the snake graft.
