Punctuation in Academic Texts: Why Bother?

The workshop is focused on a very complicated issue — punctuation. This session looks at the rules (and “guidelines”) of English punctuation, which are much more flexible and varied than the rules in Russian. There are few situations where punctuation changes the meaning, we will cover those and the general principles of good punctuation. We will also look into the differences between British and American punctuation and cover peculiarities of punctuation in formal and informal texts.
