This piece has gone a long way! It was part of AYIYEKI, my African Suite No. 13 for double bass I wrote in 2015 for my friend Marcin Oleś. Then I re-wrote it for recorder and it became one of the ten Miniatures called UKUVALELISA (Farewell); the premiere was played by my friend António Carrilho in the Sydney Conservatory in February 2020. And now I have re-written the pieces for violoncello, with the help of Susanne Modrej. I wish to thank her for the careful editing work, and even more for this recording,
