Huge Molten Boulder Slides Down La Palma Lava Stream

Spain’s Geological and Mining Institute released footage of a huge molten boulder sliding down Cumbre Vieja volcano, Friday. IGME also released footage shot on Thursday showing several streams of lava flowing toward the Atlantic Ocean. La Palma local authorities said on Thursday lava had covered 1,136 hectares of land so far and the eruption had damaged or destroyed nearly 2,700 buildings, forcing the evacuation of thousands from their homes on the island.
