Europa Scythia is a channel dedicated to the Uralic and Turkic tribes of Europe (Chuvashes, Tatars, Komis, Mordvins, Udmurts, Maris, Karelians, Finns, Hungarians, Estonians). Why the name Europa Scythia? DNA studies conducted on ancient Scythian samples have shown a close genetic distance to modern day Uralic and Turkic groups such as the Volga Tatars, Chuvashes, Komis, Udmurts, and Mordvins. The nomadic Bulgar and Khazar tribes of Eastern Europe were linguistically Turkic and genetically Scythian, whose modern day descendants happen to be the Volga Tatars and Chuvashes. This data confirms the hypothesis that Bulgars and Khazars are in fact Central Asian Indo-Europeans (carriers of R1a and R1b) that adopted the Turkic language.
