Stakeholder Call: Updated mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines

The FDA hosted a stakeholder call on September 13, 2023 with a wide range of public health organizations and Dr. Peter Marks, Director, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, FDA to discuss the agency’s actions on the updated mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. On September 11, 2023, the FDA approved and authorized for emergency use updated COVID-19 vaccines formulated to more closely target currently circulating variants and to provide better protection against serious consequences of COVID-19, including hospitalization and death.
