Breaking away from my chronology of pop hits from 1979, and flashing forward to 1993 and the exquisite Maria McKee. In clearing out some of my cd’s I rediscovered a three track single lifted from her album ’You gotta sin to get saved’. I consider Maria a boutique singer of the highest order. Most folk know her from the ’Days of thunder’ soundtrrack and her breakout pop hit ’Show me heaven’ which was a huge hit on Britain and Australia, but not in America.
