Russia’s Nuclear-Capable Avangard That Can Hit Targets at 27X Speed of Sound Launched Into Silo

Russia loaded a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile, equipped with the ‘Avangard’ hypersonic glide vehicle, into a launch silo in southern Russia, reports said. The Zvezda television channel owned by the Russian defence ministry showed a ballistic missile being transported to a launch silo on November 16. The missile was seen slowly raised into a vertical position and then lowered into a shaft in the Orenburg region near Kazakhstan.
