Nationalhymne der DDR – Auferstanden aus Ruinen „Auferstanden aus Ruinen” war der Titel der Nationalhymne der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik. Der Text der Hymne stammt von Johannes R. Becher, die Melodie komponierte Hanns Eisler. Der Text der Nationalhymne folgt (bis auf die letzte Zeile) dem Versmaß der österreichischen Kaiserhymne. Text der DDR Nationalhymne 1. Strophe Auferstanden aus Ruinen Und der Zukunft zugewandt, Laß uns dir zum Guten dienen, Deutschland, einig Vaterland. Alte Not gilt es zu zwingen, Und wir zwingen sie vereint, Denn es muß uns doch gelingen, Daß die Sonne schön wie nie Über Deutschland scheint. 2. Strophe Glück und Frieden sei beschieden Deutschland, unserm Vaterland. Alle Welt sehnt sich nach Frieden, Reicht den Völkern eure Hand. Wenn wir brüderlich uns einen, Schlagen wir des Volkes Feind! Laßt das Licht des Friedens scheinen, Daß nie eine Mutter mehr Ihren Sohn beweint. 3. The text of the anthem was written by Johannes R. Becher, the melody was composed by Hanns Eisler. The text of the national anthem follows (except for the last line) the meter of the Austrian imperial anthem. Old adversity is to be forced, And we’ll force them together For we must succeed That the sun may shine Shines over Germany. Strophe 2 Happiness and peace be granted Germany, our fatherland. All the world longs for peace, Reach out your hand to the nations If we unite as brothers, Let us strike at the enemy of the people!
