Gernge Quick Tips - Better Triplanar OSL Node | Cinema 4D Redshift

Get Darby’s TriplanarCoordinates OSL here: And TransformNormalTangents OSL here: This quick tip is an introduction to the great Triplanar OSL node written by Darby Edelen. It’s a UV projection that behaves like Triplanar Mapping, which has a few really nice quality of life features. Check the pinned comment for a correction about using this with Normal Maps, in order to be able to rotate them properly! This information should apply to Redshift in other DCCs, and may to apply other render engines that support OSL although specifics about OSL support will vary from engine to engine. 00:00 Introduction 00:51 Comparing The Built-in Redshift Triplanar 01:36 Triplanar Coordinates OSL Setup 02:13 Controls & Features 03:00 Edge & Noise Breakup 03:52 Conclusion __________________________ Subscribe: @gernge My Website: Twitter: Instagram:
