SCOOP: China cranks up the heat as it unveiled on Saturday the names of its manned lunar lander and new crew spaceship. According to a news release from the China Manned Space Agency, the lunar lander that will carry Chinese astronauts to the moon’s surface is named #Lanyue, or Embracing the Moon. The name of the new crew spaceship is #Mengzhou, or Dream Vessel. China unveiled the names of its new manned lunar exploration mission vehicles from nearly 2,000 public proposals. The lunar lander is called “Lanyue“ and the manned spacecraft “Mengzhou“. China’s first manned mission to the moon is planned to be conducted around 2030.
