🚆 Beautiful morning ride on the “Airtrain“ to the airport (Cab Ride | IR36 Basel - Zurich Airport)

Welcome aboard the InterRegio 36, the so called “Airtrain!“ This line is the only direct connection between Basel SBB and Zurich Airport and runs hourly in each direction. It also provides an important link to the many stops in between and here’s where the “air“ comes into play: This train has a Swiss Airlines flight number and Swiss Tickets from or to Basel are accepted on the train. There are no flights between Zurich and Basel, which is the reason for this partnership between Swiss and SBB. The same service also exists from/to Lugano and Zurich Airport. Obviously, not only flying passengers are welcome, most passengers travel on a standard ticket, not a boarding pass. It is a regular national InterRegio service and everyone with a valid ticket may use it. It is a beautiful morning to fly low across the ground.
