IDEA StatiCa 24.0 TUTORIAL || 🚧 3D Detail – Reinforced Concrete Footings (BETA) 🚧

1. Introduction to IDEA StatiCa 24.0 What’s new in version 24.0: Overview of updates, especially related to 3D Detail for concrete structures. BETA Features: Caution around potential limitations and what to expect in the BETA phase. 2. Launching IDEA StatiCa and Starting a New Project Open IDEA StatiCa and select Concrete as your material. In the project creation window, select 3D Detail as the type of analysis. Choose Reinforced Concrete Footing from the structure options. 3. 3D Detail – Footing Design Setup Geometry Definition: Input dimensions of the footing (width, height, depth). Define the concrete grade (e.g., C25/30) and other materials. Support Conditions: Add boundary conditions and supports where necessary (fixed, pinned, etc.). Loads: Apply the loads (dead load, live load, wind load, etc.) on the footing. Import load combinations from external programs if necessary (like SCIA, ETABS, or SAP2000). 4. Reinforcement Layout Defining Rebar: Add reinforcement bars (longitudinal, transverse). Set the parameters for rebar (diameter, spacing, concrete cover, etc.). 3D Reinforcement Visualization: Use the 3D view to inspect how reinforcement is placed within the footing. Adjust rebar placements manually if needed. 5. Analysis & Design Checks Run the FEA analysis on the model. View results for stress, strain, and displacement in both concrete and reinforcement. Use the Design Checks tab to see if the footing meets the design requirements (e.g., serviceability, ultimate limit state). Correct any issues with rebar placement Product-downloads webinar & Theoretical background #IDEAStatiCa24 #ConcreteDesign #StructuralEngineering #3DDetailing #ReinforcedConcrete #FootingDesign #BetaFeatures #EngineeringSoftware #StructuralAnalysis #FEAAnalysis
