Alligator gets stuck on lanai, takes a dip in Florida man’s pool

Tim Kelly had quite the surprise one morning when he heard growling while getting his morning cup of coffee. He turned around to see a massive alligator -- between 7 and 9 feet -- on the lanai of his East Lake, Florida home. At first, the alligator was stuck under an end table. Tim called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), but then the gator got itself loose before an officer arrived. That’s when the gator decided to take a dip in the pool. “We were just sitting here having coffee just watching him swim around in the pool. He would come up here and rest on the steps, then sink to the bottom again,“ Tim said.
