Piranesi Carceri 300 - by Grégoire Dupond and music by Teho Teardo

Animation Film 2020 Carceri d’Invenzione di G-Battista Piranesi, Architetto Veneziano The work was produced and created by artists Grégoire Dupond (Film) and Teho Teardo (Music) for the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria (GNU) in Perugia, Italy, for an exhibition celebrating the 300th anniversary of Giambattista Piranesi birth. Oct 2020-Jan 2021. As a consequence of the pandemic of COVID-19, the exhibition has been scaled down to an online show. “Piranesi Carceri d’Invenzione 300 anni” is a new work inspired by the film produced for Factum Arte and Fondazione Giorgio Cini in 2010. Great thanks to Fondazione Cini for the scans of their collection prints used to make this work.
