ATB ’9 PM (TILL I COME)’ | The Making Of A Dance Anthem

ATB’s debut track under the name, ‘9 PM (Till I Come)’, is one of dance music’s most recognisable anthems, featuring an infectious melody that changed the German DJ and producer’s life. In the latest episode of The Making Of, we join ATB, real name Andre Tanneberger, almost 30 years later as he reveals that he made ‘9 PM’ by chance after showing a date to his studio before going to the cinema. The track, which was made in just two days and features a sample from Yolanda Rivera, went immediately to No.1 when it was released in the UK in 1998. ATB also talks about his first ToTP appearance, the track’s confusing music video, and how it was more recently the inspiration for Peggy Gou’s ‘NaNaNa’.
