(Gattaca) I never saved anything for the swim back

“I got the better end of the deal. I only lent you my body. You lent me your dream.“ I hold Gattaca in my top fifty of best movies. It takes several watches to fully appreciate all of the details and symbolism that it offers. Andrew Niccol definitely knows how to tell a story, never missing a beat. Not to mention the score that is absolutely beautiful. This is one of Ethan Hawke’s best flicks. The story is inspiring and hopeful, yet bittersweet. I hope that I have done the movie justice with this tribute. Enjoy. Thanks to Occulent for reminding me of this gem, and for the change that a slight pique of interest can make.
