Sevenfold Rod Exercise - Instructional Series for Eurythmy

In this video we show you the first rod exercise that Rudolf Steiner gave to the eurythmists. It is the sevenfold rod exercise. Rudolf Steiner instructed that the rod exercises should be done with copper rods, because “copper would [...] give certainty to the movements from within. One would then, for example, grasp the desired one from many books as if involuntarily and immediately open it correctly.“ Rudolf Steiner also wrote on a note sheet that the rod exercises work “against imperfections in the physical posture“.
