SOLAR FLARE/R1/CME/COMET: The sun exploded numerous times today. Two halo CMEs from behind the west limb followed by an M4-flare/R1-radio blackout and CME from AR3363. Also observed was a sundiving comet plunging toward the sun during the middle of it all. It did not survive the plunge. SDO data is off line and SOHO’s data is jumpy. Best guess is none of these CMEs should be geoeffective. But there are two CMEs from July 14, and July 15 predicted to impact Earth’s magnetic field on July 18. Possibly sparking a G1 or G2-geomagnetic storms. Stay tuned for updates…
