Breeding Convicts and Raising their Fry

Convict Cichlids The convict cichlid is a fish species from family Cichlidae, native to Central America, also know as Zebra zebra cichlid. This is a short video on convict cichlids breeding and raising their fry. I’ve shared my experience of raising convict fries from their day 1 to day 30th in this video. My experience Convicts were my first cichlid that i’ve successfully bread in my aquarium. They are easy to sex, Males have long pointy dorsal fin and hump on head and females red spot on their belly and got shiny greenish color on their dorsal fin. Breeding them: Its really easy you just need to put male and female into a aquarium sized between 10 to 40 gallons and make some hiding place for them with rocks or decoration. Make cave if you can or just get a small flower pot so they can spawn eggs in it as you can see in video. Provide them this environment they will surly breed withing one or two weeks. Fry care: I used normal pellets and crushed them until they turn into powder and fed them to fries. Please Subscribe for more videos.
