Why Renault’s F1 team is descending into chaos (again)

Renault’s Formula 1 team warned the world it would have a tough start to 2024 when the new Alpine A524 was launched. But when team principal Bruno Famin said it was going to be difficult, even he can’t have known just how bad it was going to get. The evidence is clear – Alpine is dead last. To add to the sense of woe engulfing this team, technical director Matt Harman and head of aerodynamics Dirk de Beer have resigned, and this has led to a hasty restructure of the technical leadership of the team.
