What is a coping mechanism anyway? And is it possible to use FOOD as one of our healthy coping mechanisms in life? Yes, I believe that we humans CAN turn to food as one of our coping mechanisms for stress – IF we’re relating to food in a particular way. And, by relating to food differently, we can also break patterns of binge eating, stress eating, and emotional eating.
