First Lady of Syria and wife of President Bashar al-Assad, Asma Assad, paid a visit to a deaf boy in Damascus on Monday, as part of a charity program in the war-torn country.
Assad took part in the Cochlear Implant project led by Aamal, the Syrian Organization for Persons With Disabilities, and donated a cochlear implant allowing deaf boy Hussein Nasser to hear for the first time.
