The second part of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2020 was held in Yekaterinburg (Russia) from April 19 to April 27, 2021. The winner - Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) qualified for the world championship match with Magnus Carlsen.  Eight grandmasters took part - Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), Fabiano Caruana (USA), Anish Giri (Netherlands), Wang Hao (China), Alexander Grischuk (Russia), Ding Liren (China), Kirill Alekseenko (Russia).
