Roger Corman’s Edgar Allan Poe series tribute

This video is a tribute to the great series based on the novels by Edgar Allan Poe directed by “King of the B’s“ Roger Corman, who made 400 movies in total (also many famous directors and actors like Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and James Cameron started they career with him). Basically most of his creations are low budget B movies, but very entertaining nevertheless. But his Poe series was very colorful, mesmerizing, atmospheric, saturated, spellbinding, with the tale-like quality. These films paid great homage to Poe works, although differed from his novels in terms of stories. And the king of Horror Vincent Price who starred in all but one Poe film (later joined by such horror veterans as Peter Lorre, Basil Rathbone, Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney) brought a great deal of depth and dignity into the series.
