Washington appears to have a pick-and-choose attitude toward ICC decisions, depending on its political agenda. Last year, it welcomed the charges against Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, when Israeli officials were in the crosshairs, the US shifted gears, with Senator Lindsey Graham now threatening to impose sanctions against any state – ally or not – that supports the ICC’s latest warrants.
