Sharon “Chumba“ Kiprono Is The Top Scorer of the Kenyan Women’s Volleyball Team | HD

Sharon Chepchumba Kiprono (born 26 October 1998) is a Kenyan female volleyball player. Born in 1998, she considered a sporting career very early and dreams, until early November 2014, to join the Kenyan National Women’s football team, one of the best national teams in the CECAFA Women’s Championship. But in the end, her neighbor managed to convince her to switch to volleyball and join her at the school in Machakos district. After convincing in the school championship, she joined a well-known Club, Prisons Kenya, which participated in the 2018 African Club Championship and finished fourth, with an important personal contribution in the final of this competition in Cairo. As a striker she is often compared to a previous generation player, Dorcas Ndasaba. She was selected in the Kenya Women’s volleyball team, with which she participated in the World Championship 2018. She won the gold medal at the 2019 African Games.
