Danuvina Alacris - Traveling on the Danube in a Roman ship reconstruction! - Part One

In October 2022 I embarked on the journey of the Danuvina Alacris, a 4th century Mainz type Roman river ship reconstructed following my project idea “Living Danube Limes“. The ship I had planned was finally built, albeit the journey happened very differently from what the project team and me had initially agreed upon.
