Today we are here with a new south indian cuisine recipe which is #PANAYARAM This is a simple evening snack recipe & super delicious as well. #appam #easyrecipe #youtube #paniyaramrecipe Ingredient Quantity Rice soaked overnight 1 cup Urad dal soaked overnight ¼ cup Yogurt 3 Tbsp Asafoetida ¼ Tsp Fenugreek Seeds 1 Tsp For Tadka: Oil 1 Tbsp Asafoetida ¼ Tsp Mustard seeds 1 Tsp Urad dal 1Tsp Ginger chopped ½ inch Green chilli chopped 4-5 No. Curry leaves 8-10 No. Carrot grated 1 No, (Small) Onion chopped 1 No. (Medium) Coconut grated ¼ cup Salt to taste Baking soda 1 Tsp Method: 1. Drain the soaked rice and urad dal and add to the grinder jar and grind for some time. 2. Add Yogurt, asafoetida and fenugreek seeds and grind again till smooth paste. 3. Remove in bowl, add little water in grinder jar and grind again. 4. Remove in bowl and keep it aside. 5. Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida, mustard seeds and urad dal, mix well and sauté for 1 min. 6. Add chopped ginger, green chilli and curry leaves, mix well and sauté for 1 min. 7. Add carrot, mix well and sauté for 2 min. 8. Remove this into the batter, add chopped onion, coconut and salt and mix well. 9. Add soda and mix well. 10. Heat a paniyaram pan with some oil, pour ladleful of batter in one hole to check the batter consistency, flip over and cook for another side also. 11. Pour the batter for remaining holes and cook it for 2 to 3 mins, Flip over and cook for 2-3 min. or till golden brown in color. 12. Remove in serving bowl and serve hot with coconut chilli chutney.
