Liverpool Lightship (1920-1929)

Liverpool Lightship. Lightship off coast of Merseyside. Various shots of lightship ’Formby’. Also shots of lightship w/ other ship; moving along tied together. But then suddenly; there’s a shot of Santa Claus talking through a loud hailer / megaphone. Father Christmas is on the boat w/ a group of others - he shakes hands with some men. Shot of boys standing holding open books and singing; Christmas carols? Father Christmas stands by and hands some holly to a young man who ties it to a crate. Then they send the crate via rope from one boat to another. More shots of boys on boat. Looks like Father Christmas has come with presents or supplies for people on the other boat. Shots of another ship with ’Northwest’ on the side and several flags flying from a vertical rope. It looks like a crate (the same one or another) has been delivered to ship called ’Crosby’.
