Moscow Mall Attackers ’Killed’ In Russian Jail; ’Islamic State Inmates’ Create Hostage Situation

Russian security forces stormed a detention center in southern Russia and ended a hostage situation. The forces killed inmates accused of links to Islamist terror cells. They had taken two staff members hostage. Several videos on social media, released by Russian Telegram Channel 112, showed the inmates brandishing guns, waving ISIS flags and sporting Islamic State headbands. Tass reported that among the killed hostage-takers were also attackers affiliated to ISIS-K, who had confessed to killing 144 people in Moscow concert hall in march.
