Though public urination is an issue in most big cities, in Paris, peeing in public has become so commonplace that locals have given it its own name: ‘les pipis sauvages’ or ’wild pee’. In recent years, the city has launched a number of initiatives to tackle the problem, including installing red flower pots equipped with urinals and a short-lived project that tried to make fertiliser out of men’s urine.
