SALZBURG Sightseeing Tour - Austria Travel

Salzburg in Austria is well known for being the origin of Mozart. Situated at the Salzach Stream the renowned film “The Sound of Music“ shows a ton of this notable city. Our walk begins at the Mirabell Castle Nurseries. We first walk south and cross to the opposite side of the old town over to Salzach stream by means of the Staatsbrücke. There we investigate the old town with its numerous little roads and arcades as well as the squares: Mozartplatz, Residenzplatz and, surprisingly, the market square. For a view over this pleasant town we head up to the beginning stage of the Festungsbahn, the mountain trolley that goes up to the Stronghold Hohensalzburg.
