Mustn’t vs. Don’t have to - What is the difference?

In this ESOL lesson we look at the difference between MUST NOT and DO NOT HAVE TO. Be careful, there is a big difference in meaning between the two. We compare different example sentences including: - You mustn’t tell John ... and ... - You don’t have to tell John We also look at what changes when we use the third person (he, she, it). We end with an exercise where you need to fill the gap with either Mustn’t OR Don’t have to in 8 sentences.
