X2.7 Solar Flare and Coronal Mass Ejection (5/5/2015) -

Good evening. Here is a video compilation by both the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) and LASCO C2/C3 capturing an impulsive X2.7 solar flare / CME on Tuesday evening at 22:11 UTC around sunspot 2339. The flare was associated with a Type II Radio emission with an estimated velocity of 1163 km/s, along with a short duration 10cm radio burst (TenFlare) measuring 590 solar flux units (SFU).
