A recent investigation by 972 Magazine and Local Call, based on conversations with 7 current and former members of Israel’s intelligence community, found that permissive airstrikes on non-military targets and the use of an artificial intelligence system have enabled the Israeli army to carry out its deadliest war on Gaza. The AI system Israel uses, as described by a former intelligence officer, has essentially facilitated a “mass assassination factory” in Gaza. The Israeli intelligence officials included military intelligence and air force personnel who were mostly involved in previous Israeli operations in the besieged Strip.
