A retake on the classic Deep Purple tune, with a jazz-rock twist. Ian Gillan is arguably one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. IMHO, as always. IGB was pretty much overlooked in the States, and his later metal excursions with Gillan didn’t fair any better. A shame, because they made some incredible music.
