HAEVN & Neco Novellas : - “Caught a Light was created in the stillness of the Portuguese mountains where we retreated with our close friends Neco Novellas from Mozambique and Tim Bran from London. In that secluded place we found the ground to truly connect and create in purity. One evening after a long day we felt the need to write something that could soothe an uncertain feeling inside us. We had been listening to many mantras and we were captured by the power of that hypnotising repetitive energy that keeps descending deeper and deeper until it reaches the essence of your being. A piece of music that guides us back to a place within where softness and strength can meet and even collide in a way that feels healing. It became a song about finding the courage to sit with the pain you’d rather avoid, and how that opens space for something new. In that stillness you begin to look with gentleness at the cracks that have formed. And the longer you dare to look the more you notice that through those very cracks new light begins to shine in. It is our hope that Caught a Light might also give you strength in moments of darkness.
