3,000 Feet Under The Sea (1934)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Title reads: “3,000 Feet Under The Sea - Record Descent by Scientists in the Atlantic.: Men climb inside the Bathysphere (a round diving bell) they are sealed in and lowered of the side of a ship into the water. Shot of woman on deck talking into a microphone. Shot of man in bathysphere talking into microphone. The Bathysphere is lifted out of the sea and back onto the deck of the waiting ship. The sealed door is opened and the scientists climb out. Photographs (possibly mock ups) of creatures observed by the men when they were deep underwater. N.B. Not sure if this has anything to do with the explorer Auguste Piccard. The dive was sponsored by the National Geographic Society among others. Note: There are two Piccards - Jean and Auguste.
