Mittenwald, Germany: a few days visit via the German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse)

Having just left Garmisch-Partenkirchen (and prior to that Oberammergau) our next major scheduled stop is Mittenwald. We were only able to spend about 4 hours each at our previous towns, but for Mittenwald we will spend the evening and then a full day. As with most of the Bavarian towns we visited, there are murals everywhere on many walls of buildings in Mittenwald. And like the other two towns, we are still on the scenic German Alpine Road (Deutsche Alpenstrasse) - with Bad Tölz being our next major stop
