Stevenson Weekender Sailboat Build: Episode 1 - Site prep

This is the first video in a Maker series where I build a Stevenson Weekender Sailboat from scratch. In this video I show the preparation of the building where I am going to build the boat. I had to take down a wall and cut a hole in the side of the building to create a sliding barn style door. The first step in the boat build will require laminating boards together so I need to create a flat surface/strongback to accomplish this. In this video I build this flat surface. I’m a do-it-yourself guy who loves to learn new skills and create things. I do not claim to be an expert and this is my first boat build. The plans for this boat can be purchased at .
